In 1986, 20 years after reaching the "Land of Opportunity", the Salamone Family opened the original Franchesco's with the dream of introducing our family's Sicilian history and traditions. Food preparation techniques, and recipes that were handed down over the last two centuries are certainly evident in our daily routine.

At 93 years of age, Frank Salamone the family patriarch, continues to prepare his original sauces and dishes that have attracted guests from all corners of our country.

After 33 years of striving towards culinary perfection, our latest generation of Salamones guarantees your experience at any of our restaurants will be unique, as well as exemplary. First time here and it was amazing. Food was literally mouth watering. I had veal marsala and it was probably the best I ever had. It melted in my mouth. As for the atmosphere, they have 2 rooms. 1 side is more romantic with softer lighting. The other side is brighter and more vibrant with music videos playing. They also have outside dining and banquet rooms. Elegant location with excellent food if you favor Italian cuisine.

Everything was outstanding. Cocktails and lovely breads to start. We ordered Oysters Rockefeller, Lamb Lollipops, French Onion soup, Lobster Bisque, Ceasars Salad, Tuna Tower, Delmonico Ribeye (with the world's best mashed potatoes), Seafood Risotto, Shrimp and linguine. The birthday girl (86) was given a Sundae with sparklers. The pianist played HB. The entire restaurant applauded. She said it was her best birthday yet. Many thanks to the awesome staff!!!

What a gem in Rockford! Perfect for a date night or family dining. Our waitress was outstanding, food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. There was an amazing guitarist playing and the volume was perfect! Classy and casual.
